What do you build on?
Custom hand-coded HTML — no WordPress, no plugins, no monthly platform fees. This means your site loads faster, costs less to run, and doesn't break every time a plugin updates. You're not locked into any third-party platform. The Care Plan covers hosting at £39/month, which is all you'll pay to keep it live.
Can I edit the site myself after launch?
Not without technical help — but that's exactly what the Care Plan is for. Minor updates (text changes, new photos, tweaks) are covered under the plan. Anything bigger — like adding a new section or page — gets scoped and priced before we start. You'll never get a surprise bill.
Do you do e-commerce?
No. Space Quests is built for service businesses — trades, cleaners, consultants, professionals. If you need to sell products online, we're not the right fit. If you need to look credible, get found on Google, and make it easy for people to contact you, that's exactly what we do.
What happens to my domain if I cancel the Care Plan?
Your domain belongs to you. If you cancel, we'll transfer it to your own registrar account — you keep it. You'd also need to arrange your own hosting for the site files, which we'd hand over at the same time. We don't hold anything hostage.
Does hosting cost extra after the first year?
The Care Plan at £39/month covers hosting, domain renewals, and ongoing support from year one. Without it, you'd need to arrange your own hosting — which is straightforward, but you'd be on your own. Most clients find the Care Plan worthwhile just for the peace of mind.
Can I bring an existing site onto the Care Plan?
No — the Care Plan is for sites built by Space Quests. We need to know the site inside out to maintain it properly. If you have an existing site that needs improving, a full redesign starts from £399 and includes Care Plan eligibility from launch.
What if I need changes after launch?
Minor updates — fixing a typo, swapping a photo, updating your hours — are covered under the Care Plan with no extra charge. Anything that takes more than 30 minutes gets scoped and quoted separately before we start. No surprises, no open-ended bills.
